College & Career ReadinessSJDCHS offers a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum that aims to serve our students’ unique needs. Each student at SJDCHS has the potential to earn TCCED’s Distinguished Achievement Diploma of 28 credits with a Business and Industry Endorsement and a Multi-Disciplinary Studies Endorsement. The demanding coursework prepares students for success in their post-secondary studies.
SJDCHS seeks to help each student optimize his or her fullest potential. In support of our mission, our caring teachers build strong foundations for academic success through:
• Smaller class sizes;
• Enrichment courses and after-school programs, such as tutoring;
• Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Austin Community College’s Dual Credit Classes
program;
• A Senior Seminar class in which seniors research and apply to colleges and complete the
FAFSA with a College Counselor.
